In the early 1990"s when the concept of electronic document management was in its infancy, CEO Imaging Systems was founded. At that time even a very small business had at least a good-sized filing area and in some cases off-site storage devoted to warehousing paper documents. CEO Imaging Systems recognized then that every square foot of space devoted to document storage was unproductive space. We envisioned a world in which mountains of paper could be reduced to on-line, organized, electronic records searchable and accessible in a flash.
Our industry surveys tell us that training is the key to successful deployment of an electronic document management system in organizations of all sizes. CEO Imaging Systems has a unique business model that provides a comprehensive turnkey solution including not only document management software, but records management planning, staff training and support provided directly to the end user to ensure that the transition from a paper filing system to an electronic "paperless office" is successful at every client site, regardless of size and budget.
Post 911, the world of document management has become much more complex. There has been a proliferation of compliance requirements closely monitored by auditors. SEC compliance and other mandates require the software have various built-in audit reports, functions for creating on-site and offsite backup, and storage of records in a WORM format. The myriad of software features designed to address compliance need to be seamlessly implemented with a variety of internal procedures within the office. There has been a vast increase in the amount of electronic records in the form of word processed documents, emails and attachments, and electronic reports generated both from internal systems within the office as well as externally generated to the extent that our technology today is called "content management." There is also an increasing need to integrate and simplify a myriad of business processes.
