Executive Assistant® ReadMe: Software Installation
To install the Executive Assistant® document management software:
- If you have version 1.x installed on your system, please uninstall it before installing any 2.x or higher version.
- If the autorun.exe program doesn't start upon inserting your CD into the appropriate drive, start autorun.exe on the CD.
- This starts the Installation Wizard. Click View ReadMe to review the preinstallation documentation.
- Review and follow the instructions in the Install Scanner Driver section.
- After setting up your scanner drivers, return to the Installation Wizard and click the Begin Installing button to begin installing the software.
- Click the Next button to accept the agreement and begin the installation.
- In the User Information dialog, enter data into the Name, Company, and Serial Number text boxes. If you purchased a CD, you can find the Serial Number on the CD’s jewel case. If you downloaded the program, you can find the Serial Number in the Confirmation Email. Click the Next button to proceed.
- In the Choose Destination Location dialog, Browse ... for a directory in which to install the program or use the default Destination Folder provided by the setup program. Click the Next button to proceed.
- In the Directory to Store Documents dialog, Browse ... for a directory in which to store scanned and filed Documents or use the default Destination Folder provided by the setup program. Click the Next button to proceed.
- In the Select Components dialog, place a checkmark in the checkbox next to each component you intend to install. Typically, you will select every component listed. Click the Next button to proceed.
- In the Select Program Folder dialog, specify the name of the folder that will be added to the list of Programs in your Start Menu or use the default folder provided by the setup program. Click the Next button to proceed.
- In the Start Copying Files dialog, click the Next button to install the
Executive Assistant® on your system.
