Barcode Scanning Features
The Executive Assistant Premium with Barcode
Scanning provides capability to quickly scan and file large batches of
documents using industry standard barcodes as seen on the right.
This is a highly accurate way of processing documents by using a
barcode embedded with a unique identifier which can be used 3
different ways:
-
The barcode is used as a "cover sheet" for
each file and is recognized as a file divider.
-
If the documents are being filed in Windows,
the characters embedded in the barcode can name the file.
-
Barcodes
associated with one or more values in a text file can be
imported into Executive Assistant Premium. After the import,
documents containing the barcodes can be filed with a click of
a button.
Different profiles can be set up so that
different document types can be scanned and filed with the click
of a button. A great time saver!
File Documents Using Transaction Codes and
Barcodes
What are Transaction Codes?
A transaction code is a unique identifier associated with values
from a text file to aid in filing a document. These values may
include a folder name, folder index or e-mail value. The
transaction code may also include values to be associated with
one or more document indices and a description. Switch To
Transaction Data Import from the File menu of File Documents to
create transaction codes.
If documents in the queue include a cover page containing a
barcoded transaction value, Switch to Document Filing with
Barcode and click Process to file all the documents in the queue
that contain a valid transaction barcode.

Don't forget, these are just the barcode features. Also
included in your package is the full version of
Executive Assistant.
